What are they?

Essential oil diffusers are used to diffuse/disperse the essential oil into the air, either to scent a room or to be used in aromatherapy to treat particular issues. The practice of diffusing essential oils has been going on for thousands of years, and over time there are many different ways of diffusing oils into the air that have been developed and discovered. This has allowed essential oils to have exponential reach, and for a lot of cultures diffusing essential oils are in the grassroots of their medicine as well as other beauty and healthcare practices. Diffusing oils come with a lot of benefits, and of course the main one is the gorgeous scent that you can emit within a few minutes of using an essential oil.

What does it do?

Essential oil diffusers allow for the molecules of oil to be equally dispersed in the air, and it’s a completely safe way of using an essential oil without making it toxic or harmful to the air or skin. Traditionally, essential oils were used in oil burners to disperse the scent/benefits, but over time it’s been noted that this isn’t the most effective method of diffusing oils. It’s also not the most ‘modern’ approach to diffusing an essential oil as it does come with a fire hazard.

A lot of diffusers on the market nowadays are a lot safer as well as less damaging for the air (and for the planet), and we love that there are so many different ways to enjoy essential oils in the comfort of your own home. The most commonly known method of diffusing is through using a steam diffuser which uses water and essential oil to create a cooling mist that can scent a room literally within a couple of minutes. It’s commonly found in spas and offices, and is one of the most low maintenance diffusers on the market, as well as being one of the most effective.

Conclusion

Having an essential oil diffuser can really allow you to maximise the use of your essential oil collection, whilst allowing you to feel as though you constantly live in a spa (which is a win win in our eyes).
