Pure essential oils are powerful natural products that carry numerous therapeutic properties. Although they shouldn't be viewed as miracle cures, certain essential oils can help promote skin health, ease muscle pain, relieve cold and flu symptoms, and, of course, support emotional wellbeing. Speaking of emotional wellness, we’ve created a few lovely aromatherapy blends for peace and happiness. Here are the recipes:
Breathe In, Breathe Out
- 3 drops of Roman Chamomile Oil
- 2 drops of Clary Sage Oil
- 2 drops of Bergamot Oil
Each of these oils has a calming effect on the mind. Firstly, Roman Chamomile Oil has a crisp, sweet, and herbaceous aroma and can help manage anger and irritability. This soothing oil is often used to help combat insomnia as well. Clary Sage Oil boasts a distinctively herbaceous, earthy, and floral scent. This is one of the most effective essential oils when it comes to easing stress and anxiety. Lastly, Bergamot Oil adds a touch of cheerfulness to this blend with its fresh, citrusy, bright aroma.
A Blissful Moment
- 2 drops of Mandarin Oil
- 2 drops of Lavender Oil
- 1 drop of Sandalwood Oil
This is one of our favourite diffuser blends for tranquility and joy. Mandarin Oil is refreshing and uplifting without being stimulating or overpowering. This is one of the sweetest oils in the citrus family, which is precisely why we chose it for this aromatherapy recipe. As you may already know, Lavender Oil is one of the most calming essential oils. It can reduce feelings of tension and promote positivity. The final piece of this puzzle is Sandalwood Oil. With its rich, sweet, woody, and slightly floral scent, Sandalwood Oil can be helpful in dealing with feelings of stress and low self-esteem and coping with depression. This beautiful oil can also promote a sense of inner peace and wellbeing.
This Too Shall Pass
- 2 drops of Ylang Ylang Oil
- 1 drop of Marjoram Oil
- 1 drop of Vetiver Oil
If you are one of those people who enjoy working with Vetiver Oil, chances are you’ll love this trio. Ylang Ylang Oil has a captivating floral, sweet, and faintly fruity aroma. It’s an amazing choice when feeling angry, down, and/or stressed out. Herbaceous, sweet, woody, and slightly floral, Marjoram Oil can be an amazing ally to the mind. This wonderful oil can provide emotional support during difficult times, i.e. when struggling with stress, anxiety, and grief. It can also help clear the mind of unwanted thoughts. The last ingredient is Vetiver Oil. This beautifully complex essential oil is valued for its ability to de-stress, relax, and ground. Diffuse these oils together at the end of a long day to calm your mind and centre yourself.
